The world has been waiting with bated breath for five years for a new Paul Thomas Anderson film, not really knowing what to expect.
Looking back on this past Saturday, I feel like I walked into the screening of The Master not knowing anything concrete about life, and walked out afterwards with a head full of brilliant ideas, which slowly drifted into obscurity in the hours following and could only be fully brought back by another viewing of the movie. What does that mean, exactly? Well, it means that The Master is undoubtedly a Paul Thomas Anderson film.
